ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR FELLOW IN BREAST IMAGING
The assessment of candidates will be a continuous process. Each candidate will be required to maintain a logbook, wherein his/her clinical, teaching and research activities through the period of his/her training will be entered.
Eligibility: The candidate may be allowed to appear after eleven months of training, if the Head of the Department is satisfied with his/her progress in the basic clinical, interventional and academic aspects of breast imaging as per the Log Book and assessment by the faculty of the department.
The final examination shall be conducted by the parent institute with one of the examiners being BISI board member .
After the final examination, the fellow will continue in the department for the remaining period of course. The candidate will have to score at least 50% of maximum available marks separately in both theory and practical examinations to pass the exam. In case of his/her not passing the exam, he/she will have six months to prepare again and reappear, during which period it will be desirable, but not compulsory, for him to stay in the department.
After the end of one year and after successfully passing the exam the candidate would be awarded BISI accrediated Breast Fellowship certificate by the parent institute.
