​BREAST IMAGING CME

The Breast Imaging Society, India (southern chapter) co-sponsored a CME – Breast Imaging – Basics and Beyond at Kozhikode, Kerala on May 13, 2018. The event was also sponsored by the Kerala State IRIA under the Raksha Banner and was part of the Monthly Annals of Radiodiagnosis, Kozhikode (MARK). Professor Rajendran, Principal, Calicut Medical College inaugurated the proceedings.

Various aspects of Breast Imaging were discussed – Principles of Mammography, Ultrasound Evaluation of Breast Masses, BIRADS and MRI Breast among others. The speakers were- Dr. Rupa Ananthasivan (Manipal Hospital, Bangalore ), Dr. Janaki Dharmarajan (Amrita Institute, Kochi ) and Professor Gomathy Subramanian (Manjeri Medical College, Kozhikode)

The morning session ended with an interactive panel discussion with The Pathologist, Radiologist, Onco-surgeon and Oncologist, and Active Audience Participation. The Post Lunch session was devoted to a Hands-On Breast Biopsy Workshop. More than 60 participants registered and actively participated in the proceedings The CME was much appreciated with requests for a “Follow- Up” in the near future!!!!
