BISICON – 2013

BISICON 2013, the inaugural conference of Breast Imaging Society held on 5-6th October 2013 in Chennai, was a grand success.

Dr.Ms.Preetha Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals inaugurated the conference and gave her best wishes for BISI. Dr. Col.C.S Pant (VSM) Retd, the president of the society delivered the keynote address. Around 270 delegates from all over India participated in the conference.
Academically it was very well-received conference. Dr. Prof Bipin Batra, Executive Director, National Board of Examinations performed the honors of Valedictory function BISICON 2013 along with Director of Medical education ( Apollo Hospitals ).

Dr. Ramesh Nimmagadda Director Oncology (Apollo Hospitals),  Dr.Hemanth Raj Past President Of IASO & Director of Surgical Oncology, Adayar cancer institute,  Prof.Anurag Srivasta Chief Breast Surgeon, AIIMS, New Delhi & other academicians all over the country and the delegates were very appreciative of the scientific content & proceedings in the workshops. The innovative handling of the workshops using phantoms and simulations by Dr. Bagyam Raghvan, the organizing secretary was the highlight of this conference. The conference despite the packed proceedings closed as per schedule on both the days & the delegates who were radiologists (consultants & postgraduate students) from all over the country left very satisfied.
